FAQ for Egg Recipients

At EDCD, if our donor does not go to retrieval with you FOR ANY REASON, WE REFUND YOUR MONEY WHICH HAS NOT BEEN USED. The founders of EDCD feel that it is very wrong for an agency to keep your money if they don't have a donor you want to use. Even though this is still a common practice right now in many other agencies, it is NOT practiced here at EDCD. You are not required to sign your contract or PAY ANY MONEY until you have chosen your perfect donor! This factor alone sets EDCD apart from other agencies. This way there is no "bait and switch" tactic that other agencies use. When you DO sign your contract and submit the fees required, your chosen donor is then taken off the "available list" and reserved exclusively for you alone.*
Absolutely not! EDCD works with people from all over the world. Our donors can fly to major cities all over the United States. At the right time for transfer, your donor flies to the city of your doctor to have the procedure performed by your doctor. It's that easy!
Our Texas contracts are used throughout the United States for this purpose. According to Texas law, any child resulting from oocyte donation is legally considered to be the child of the recipient(s). Additionally, EDCD takes the issue of protection of privacy seriously. The donor will not have access to your identifying information (such as your name, address and phone number) and you will not have access to hers.
The professionals at EDCD are readily available by phone (972) 424-9369, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM until 7:00PM, Central Standard Time. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. If you call during business hours and get a recorded message, all lines are busy. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

1) Before you contract for the donation services of your perfect egg donor, you must be evaluated by a physician, and be ready to proceed with an egg donation procedure.

2) In order to start your search for your perfect egg donor, we need for you to fill out a Recipient Preference Questionnaire. Fill it out on-line and simply return it to us by clicking on the "submit" button at the end of the questionnaire. This is the fastest way for us to serve you. Once we receive this questionnaire from you, we will start sending you profiles of egg donors that fit what you want, as described in your questionnaire. There is no charge for this service.

3) After you have selected one of our screened egg donors, and your doctor says that you are ready to proceed with an egg donation procedure; you will then request a contract with EDCD for her donation services.

Your first step is to fill out a Recipient Preference Questionnaire. Fill it out on-line and simply return it to us by clicking on the "submit" button at the end of the questionnaire. This is the fastest way for us to serve you. If you prefer, you may print it out, fill it out at your leisure, and mail it back to us at:

Either way, once we know what you're looking for, we can serve you better.

*EDCD works on a first come, first serve basis. If your chosen donor has already been selected by someone else (and their contract and fees have been returned), before your contract and fees have been returned, she of course, will have been taken off the available donor list, and will not be available at that particular moment. If your donor is willing and able to go through another cycle, you can choose to wait for her. If not, you can choose another donor, or request additional donor profiles.
