Hello, and welcome to EDCD, The Egg Donation Center of Dallas, Inc. Our company locates young women who are interested in donating their eggs specifically for the purpose of enabling a couple who would never be able to have children on their own conceive and bear a child. Your identity will be strictly confidential. You will be compensated for your time and trouble, because your eggs are considered to be donated.

If you think you might be interested in becoming an EDCD egg donor and you meet all of the requirements for egg donors (see "Requirements for Donors" below), you will need to print out your application, fill it out and return it back to us (see: "I Want an Application!" below). This application is very detailed, asking a lot of personal information. Most of this is for health screening purposes. We ask that you return it back to us with at least three (3) photographs, a copy of your SAT or ACT scores and a copy of your driver's license. The reason we need photographs, is that most prospective mothers prefer to select a donor who they feel looks something like themselves.

After we receive your completed application, we will contact you for a personal interview. Then we will construct a personal profile for you. Only serious egg donor recipient candidates will have access to your profile. Keep in mind that our egg donations are anonymous. Identifying information of both you and the recipient couple will remain confidential. Your name, phone number and address, as well as that of the recipient couple's, will not be accessible to anyone.

Next, you will need to be selected by the recipient couple needing your help. This couple has already been seeing a physician who specializes in performing egg donations. This kind of physician is called a Reproductive Endocrinologist. You will need to pass both a medical and a psychological examination by this physician and a designated mental health professional. Both examinations will be paid for by the couple that selects you. You MUST pass both examinations. If the physician feels you will be a qualified donor, based on these examinations, he will start you on medications that will enable you to make several eggs. You are monitored very carefully for 2-2 1/2 weeks. At the appropriate time of egg development, your eggs will be removed (usually from below), and donated to the couple who has selected you. You will be compensated for your time and effort immediately after egg retrieval. A check will be mailed to your address. You should receive it within one week of retrieval.
